Local Groups that Help the Vulnerable
- Butte County HelpCentral and FindHelp: Connects people with community services for food, housing, and more.
- Butte County Veterans Stand Down: Assists veterans that are experiencing homelessness, displacement, disability, food insecurity, and/or other crises.
- Chico Food Project: We come to your doorstep 6 times per year to pick up your blue bag filled with non-perishables and leave you an empty bag for the next pickup.
- North State Shelter Team: To address Chico's shelter crisis by proposing, and implementing a variety of alternative shelter and hygiene options.
- Safe Space Chico: As Chico’s lowest-barrier emergency shelter, we offer seasonal, overnight refuge to individuals experiencing homelessness, without judgment and red tape.
- South Chico Community Assistance Center: A food pantry and resilience hub serving.
- Stonewall Alliance: Providing resources, peer support, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ people.
